Our organic toasted lupin flour is a low carb all purpose flour substitute made of ground lupini beans. Lupin flour is rich in protein and low carbs, so it's ideal for keto baking. While almond flour and coconut flour can be overly dry, lupin flour is known for its ability to absorb moisture. This means you can make perfectly fluffy gluten free bread, chewy keto cookies, or just about anything that needs a moist crumb to feel right.
Lupini or Lupine beans is legume related to the peanut that are originate from the Mediterranean, North Africa, and Latin America. Lupin beans come from a small, cone-shaped plant "Lupinus" that has purple, blue, or yellow flowers.
Our flour is made with toasted sweet lupin. The main advantage of toasting is reducing the bitterness of the flour making it more neutral and also increasing digestibility.
