Our organic extra virgin olive oil (Kalamata Gold) is a general-purpose delicious olive oil derived from ripe olives, of mild intensity, extracted at 25-27 °C (cold extracted olive oil) with low acidity usually not more than 0.3. An elite category of olive oil obtained from handpicked organically grown olives from the olive groves of Mani, located in the southern Peloponnese of Greece. This product offers a genuine, one of a kind taste and is ranked among the worlds finest olive oils.

The harvesting begins in the last weeks of October, by hand using vibrating rakes that gently shake the fruit onto nets slightly raised above the ground, so that when they fall they are not bruised. This method makes sense for a lot of the surrounding farmers that utilise their mill too. Each batch will be transported to their mill and be pressed within 24 hours.

They are the proud owners of 2000 olive trees thriving in numerous olive groves, a large proportion being from the Ancient Greece of which are up to 700 years old! The trees belong to a variety native to Messinia and the Ionian sea region. Under the right conditions and care, they produce an exceptional quality extra virgin olive oil, usually high in beneficial polyphenols.

Extra virgin olive oil, is the highest quality of olive oil. Part of the Mediterranean diet, this traditional oil has been a dietary staple for some of the world's healthiest populations.
